Food for thought
26/2/2010. That was the last time I ate chicken. After that, I gave up eating non-veg items as I realised I can't be a part of the violence involved in preparation of meat dishes. Since then, I was surrounded by curious questions on my food habit. 'Are you a brahmin? , Don't plants have feelings?, What if you live in a place which only has non-veg food?, People in your state consume a lot of meat. Why not you? By eating plants aren't you killing them?'. Well, the list goes on! One thing I always emphasised on is that I have no right to question someone else's food habit and would dare to say a word on it. I know that there is only one life and as my friend puts it, 'I am missing out something great in life.' But that doesn't made me rethink even once about my decision.
