Superman!

Superheroes let you enter a secret universe. Their actions make you think that you are special and you can do wonders like them. But after a point when life's realities struck us hard, we realise that we are not any superhero but ordinary humans who live a fearful life. What if we are able to see our own skills through the eyes of a superhero?

We have eyes. They are 20 times powerful than the best cam in the market. We have a sound memory and it can store more data than a supercomputer. Researchers say that even the most intelligent person would have not used 50 per cent of their capacity. Where are we in this? We underestimate our powers and many a time, we leave it to the machine to accomplish things. It certainly makes the task to finish easily. But when we are not understanding the process and leaving it to some mindless machine, are we undermining our intelligence to a large extend? Are we thinking about what we are doing? Who is guiding us here? Is it our own identity or is it the machine's identity?
Machines can save our time and bring in new insights. Batman used his control room to understand  Gotham city. He did not overuse it, did he?

What do superheroes teach us?

To understand that loneliness is not a bad thing and we can certainly do our work all alone in a selfless and excellent manner. We are our own superheroes! We can call us with the name of our favourite superhero. It can motivate and trigger the best out of us and it is not silly. We think and we exist. Any thought that can shape our identity and existence is not funny even if people say so.
I watched Superman series (1978 film and Man of steel) recently. I felt an inner urge. It took me back to the good old days when I dressed up like him and ran to my neighbour's house to show them. I admired its theme music so much. I kept humming it whenever it appeared. It was an engaging and enthralling experience because I was able to see myself (the kid) and it was awesome.
When life gives us lemons, we can make a drink, quench our thirst, explore its essence and continue our journey. No matter what the others would say, it is our journey and it is our life. We can make it as weird as it would sound to anyone else. We are superheroes and we are the best!
