Brotherly love :)

Of the many relationships, brotherly love is special for a reason. We are friends-cum-parents to our siblings. We need to back them as well as give directions to them. We are the mini window through which some of our siblings see the world. We must have the youthful exuberance and practical wisdom to guide them. We need not have to preach them anything as they will understand life's realities on their own. What we can do is share some constant care to make sure all is sound and good.

I am not ignorant of the many complexities that elder brothers have in their busy lives. Academic pressure, career-related stress, relationship tensions -- all are part and parcel of our lives. But sometimes our siblings can make us feel lighter with their genuine and passionate love. Why do we look to 'dominate' their individual space in the name of brotherly love?

Do we understand our siblings well? I think we all try, don't we? But is there a communication gap? The true intention could be a genuine one. But younger siblings will definitely hate it if we start judging them. They have enough boring people in their own lives. So, isn't it natural that they will hate to see someone they care holding up arms against them?

A relationship is incomplete without small fights. Sometimes, we burst out like a mini bomb, more of momentary in nature. Sometimes we shed our anger that was gradually developing in our minds for many years. These are part of bro-sis bonding.

A featherly touch

Make your siblings understand where they have gone wrong with a feathery touch. Please guide them when they shed tears by sharing your life experiences. When they undergo similar real-life situations like that of ours leave it to them to take the final decision.

Little things

Little things do have a significant say in the sustenance of a relationship. This is an inter-personal form of relationship and it needs our own efforts to turn it into a fruitful effort. But are we running away from our daily responsibilities if we keep our siblings away from our world? I don't know. It will definitely hurt them because there is a silent bond. Brothers and sisters, let us not disappoint each other, can we?
