Random thoughts
These are some observations which may be true or untrue. I do not have the material evidences to establish the validity of my points. I am a confused soul who does not have clarity on many aspects about life and living. These notes are random musings written in the hope that it can stimulate some serious thoughts in the minds of the readers. Pretty ambitious, isn't it?
The enlightened one
This is a large concept and a demanding way of living. Nothing would seem to affect an enlightened mind because they find a reason to stay solid in the toughest of times. They are not greedy about anything. What they seek is answers to satisfy the hunger in their minds. Their desire for knowledge is second to none. As narrated by experienced people, this is a state of mind fully devoid of social perceptions. Looks can deceive us easily and chances are that an enlightened fellow might not appear insightful to many of us on the first glance. They do not follow the traits that we do as they have a different way of living.
Mind's magic
We gain more knowledge as we use the magical powers of the mind. The mind is the strongest weapon which can control our body. We live harmonically as the mind responds to the needs of the body and vice-versa.
What do we need to make our mind and body work? We store tons of information. We eat different kinds of foods. But is that enough to satisfy our needs? Our body and mind will function smoothly if we nurture them well.
Self-understanding is the key to tune us into better human beings. We learn and adapt to changes. When we listen to our mind and body attentively, we get a significant understanding of our true nature. Understanding our self is the first step towards enlightenment. How do we make sense of the outside world if we are not able to comprehend ourselves well?
Enlightening self
Enlightenment comes with a self-realization point where we feel a sense of supreme power. We begin to breath easily than what was in the past. We find 'reason' in many arguments. We begin to understand individuals better and the circumstances that make them say certain things. We learn to accept flaws. We learn to understand new things. We filter our thoughts and give out only what is enough. We understand the intention of the ones who approach us and respond positively to their queries.
Enlightenment is a state of peace. No material wealth would continue to thrill us. No
departures will hurt us. We learn to come to terms with
life's realities.
Enlightenment and action
Enlightened beings learn how to strike harmony in their thoughts, speech, and action. Sometimes, appearances can be deceptive. They offer clues which may or may not represent one's character. Take this example. A jackfruit is thorny and unattractive to many eyes. Regardless of its visual aspect, does it appear tasty? Considering the demand for the fruit in the market, it does so to a certain extent.
Enlightened minds work differently. Some of their actions might not satisfy general people because our thoughts are fitted in a way which is centred to ourselves. However, enlighted people think from various angles and their decisions would be beneficial to all the people involved in an issue. But do we feel satisfiable in life at any point?
Some of their motives may not evoke a meaning to genral people. Some enlightened minds think faster than us and we understand their actions when they complete it.
Loss of immaturity
Immanuel Kant in his famous essay 'What is enlightenment' referred to enlightenment as 'man's emergence from self-imposed immaturity'. Kant argues that man is born special and more skilful than other living beings.
Enlightened way of living is more of a self-driven path and we are answerable not to the general public but mostly to ourselves. Some of us give up certain things due to disinterest, time constraints and other complexities in life. Enlightenment is an everyday struggle but its fruits are worth the effort. I know it because I have been fortunate to see and read about some of such people.
Does self-realization translate into enlightenment?
It can take us there but does all the ones who have better clarity about themselves reach their pinnacle in life?
What matters most is how we respond to some of the changes that happen to us. Some could be temporary, some could be related to our growing up while some are part of our upbringing. How to make better sense about it?
We know ourselves better. We learn more as we perform our duties and roles. Enlightenment is not an easy road but remember that the most cohesive mind is the most powerful mind!
Exhibitionism and enlightenment
Suppose you are an elightened person. Will you be ready to display your innate strengths to people or stay unmoved against challenges? If you are really knowledgeable, history will never fail you. But the most important aspect is to live your life in your own terms.
We are not born as knowledgeful beings. We gain better clarity as we engage actively. The power of our mind can help us to live our lives peacefully and happily. Close the doors to unwanted things and welcome the promising changes to give a meaning to life. Remember that there is no other person who can understand us better other than you.
